Touchpads very rarely go wrong and/or are not recognised by windows as and if they are not then its either a driver problem (which is very rare) and needs uninstalling and reinstalling through Device Manager or the touchpad is broken and needs replacing. Hi @Robin10001, As the touchpad didn't work, I changed the driver of the "Thinkpad Pointing Device" back to the original driver "Synaptics PS/2 Port TouchPad", restarted Windows again - and suddenly noticed that my touchpad now supported Windows multitouch gestures! It does show the "Your PC has a precision touchpad." in PC Settings as well (what it didn't I'm having troubles with my Acer Aspire E14's precision touchpad. I don't know what's happening here. It works for some time but then there comes a moment when it becomes sticky. Everytime I drag, it stops for a second then it works again. Please help me, I would really appreciate your kind response. Once uninstalled, restart the computer. The driver will be replaced with a default driver that Windows has saved. Alternatively, repeat the same steps by uninstalling the driver, but do NOT restart.
